PSALM 23 CURRICULUM:

I'm excited to share the Christmas books with the kids. I think I will use the idea of giving each of them a small fir tree! We are memorizing the 23rd Psalm now in class. The kids love it! The little cards work great for review. The kids in my classroom (and I) love the artwork your husband did. - S Garrison (Teacher)

I teach first grade SS at Kiokee Baptist Church in Appling, Georgia and we are winding up our curriculum on the 23rd Psalm.  I am so sad it is almost over.  This church pack of 13 lessons on Psalm 23 has been the most fun material I have taught in over 20 years. Thank you for your help in teaching God's Word to children. - Cindy Pollard

Currently one other teacher and I are using the Psalm 23 curriculum with two groups for Wednesday evening Bible classes:  K-2nd and 3rd-4th.  The kids are amazing us with their memorization and more importantly understanding of this passage as we work through the lessons.  They enjoy the challenge and truly look forward to being in class.  Activities are easy and fun to do--preparation is not difficult.  The Bible story that ties in with the portion of the psalm presented each week effectively enhances the truth being taught.  I've come across other materials with connections that are a stretch but that has not been the case with these.  I think the take-home activities are great, and I hope they are being used.  (Occasionally I may use one of the activities from the family sheets in lieu of one from the regular selections.). Carrie Leslie, Burke, VA

I am excited about having the Psalm 139 pocket books available to give away.  Thanks so much for the extras.

I am finishing the 23 Psalm curriculum lessons with my preschoolers. I have been blessed to teach this, as I have learned right along with my students.  The Lord has ministered to me through the lessons on restoring my soul and anointing with oil.  It is so encouraging to know that He loves us that much.  I've read Phillip Keller's books before but learned so many things going through these lessons with my preschoolers.  Pam Crane (Washington)

I received my Psalm 23 products for our Sunday School today and I am very pleased! Thank you so very much for these resources to teach our lambs! Shay S, Muscle Shoals, AL

I was thrilled to open the box with the Psalm 23 curriculum and find all the helpful resources! Thank you so much. It will be very exciting to teach our children Psalm 23 this summer. I like to do something different in the summer and I also want to get God's Word into our children's hearts. This is just what we need!  Jan Brown, North Carolina

Our Sunday School children are enjoying the 23rd Psalm curriculum.  I am also getting great response from our teachers.  They like teaching from it.  It is just what we were looking for. May God Bless You. Debbie T. (New Life Fellowship Church, Gladewater, Texas)

I am using the 23rd Psalm Big Book at a woman's Bible study in a memory care residence.  The ladies love God's Word and the art work.  Sometimes the ladies are to restless to stay the whole time and they roam up and down the hall outside our Bible study area.  We will be half way through the Psalm and a lady will walk by and continue saying the words of the Psalm as she walks on by.  God's Word was hidden in her heart from childhood!  I am a grandma and an evangelist and your materials are a blessing to me! Sharon Schroeder

PSALM 23 PICTURE BOOKS:
My seventeen 2nd grade students LOVED receiving the Psalm 23 picture book I gave to each of them at the end of our study of Psalm 23 this Spring. I know they will always treasure this book. Thanks for writing and illustrating it!
Amy - teacher at East Brook Academy, Milwaukee, Wisconsin

I am so glad to be able to speak with you and tell you how much our family has been blessed by your book; what a beautiful job you and your husband did in writing and illustrating it....Let me tell you how I no longer have the first book that we had had for many years.  I will try to keep the long story short.  There was a man in the small village where we used to live (we moved from there 9 months ago to start a church here in St. Louis with a group of people)...who was experiencing so much hardship in the midst of wanting Christ in his life...drugs, etc.  I gave him your book just to let him know in a gentle way of our Savior's love for us....it is such a wonderful book for children as well as adults. from J. VanerMark, MO

Psalm 23 Bookmarks (used for a congregational outreach tea)
Thank you so much....the Psalm 23 bookmarks are beautiful and will make GREAT table favors that will be a reminder forever of our first tea.  I will pass all the other information on to our Pastors wife who is the children ministry leader with the vision to Shepard a Child's Heart.  May Blessing come your way for the ministry you have 4HIM. I really enjoyed our phone call. It's lovely sharing with the Body of Christ. In him our hearts rejoice.
God Bless - Mary Binford (Oregon)

PSALM 23 BOOKMARKS & POCKETBOOKS:

I am excited about the Psalm 23 bookmarks and pocketbooks! I trust the Lord to bless each booklet with the message of His love and mercy.  How I thank the Lord for the gift of writing, painting, drawing, etc. he has given your family. In Jesus precious name, Betty Kempff, Spokane, Washington

We did as you suggested and gave each child two little booklets on the last day - one to keep, one to share with a friend.  The extras we donated to Shepherd's Door Children's Center. Also, we passed out the bookmarks prior to VBS and on the first day so children had something easy from which to memorize the Psalm and so we were all learning the same version.  Mary W.- Camas, WA

During my stay at the hospital after surgery, I enjoyed giving out almost fifty Psalm 23 "The Lord is My Shepherd" pocketbooks. All the nurses enjoyed seeing the illustrations and were happy to get them. And even my doctor took one home. He told me the next day that he had read it with his 10 year old daughter.  Hazel H - Spokand, Washington

Yes, we received everything in time for our Bible study. The ladies were so appreciative of the Psalm 23 booklet and bookmark!  We have 4 bereaved moms in this study so I gave each one that wonderful booklet--thank you so very much for writing it.  Abiding in Him, judi V. Wildwood, MO

Hello Helen & David, Just to let you know, I often share your pocketbooks with others. I send the Psalm 23 pocketbooks instead of sympathy cards. They are more meaningful than most cards, and God promises his Word will not return to him void. I feel these little books are a good investment, because people will keep them instead of throwing them away like they might a card. Instead, they may pass them on to others.
I also carry pocketbooks in my purse and hand them to people I meet in grocery stores. Recently my husband and I struck up a conversation with a gentleman in Costco. Although he had a religious background, he didn't believe in heaven. I handed him a Psalm 23 book and encouraged him to read it. Because of the appealing illustrations, he took it. Plus, he knew it had cost something, so he received it as a gift.
I've also handed your pocketbooks to the nurses who help with my medical treatments. They were thrilled and even offered to pay for them, which I didn't allow. I also mail booklets to friends who are experiencing difficulties. Plus, I mail the Psalm 139 booklets instead of birthday cards. One gal replied by e-mail, "I didn't know how much I needed that message."  I consider these booklets as seeds being planted in people's hearts, and I send them with a prayer. God bless your ministry.  Lydia Harris, author - Seattle, Washington

Last evening a few of our LWML women hosted a dinner  for four LWML women from the Oregon District.  They are driving to Manitoba, Canada and then to the Native Indian village of KOOSTATAK, near Winnepeg for a week long Servant Event/VBS for the children.  They are working thru the organitzation LAMP (Lutheran Association of Missionary Pilots).  A couple of them have been there before and this year they decided to take books for the children as the children  always wanted to keep the books from the mission church library.  They were delighted with the big package of your pocketbooks of the 23rd Psalm.  So the books  are on their way to Koostatak where they will be given as gifts to the children (and adults) at the end of the week.  The children are of the Ojibuve and Cree tribles.  And we pray the books will bless those who receive them.  Betty Kemp, LWML - Spokane, WA

PSALM 23 BIG BOOK + POCKETBOOKS

Thank you so much for bending over backwards to get my order here for my chapel talk at our Christian school! I did my chapel talk this morning using your Psalm 23 The Lord is My Shepherd Big Book as my visual. Then I handed each student their own Psalm 23 pocket book as they went back to their classrooms. They were so excited----even the 4th grade boys!  Janet Lee - Jefferson Baptist, Jefferson, OR

We set the Psalm 23 Big Book on an easel in the front of our sanctuary last Saturday. It helped focus our prayer meeting on the verse "He makes me lie down in green pastures." All the adults were thoroughly blessed by it!  Shirley Yates, pastor - Roseburg, OR

CREATION CURRICULUM & BIG BOOK
I am putting together an order for books on Creation for my church: Christ Our King in Bellefontaine, Ohio.  We are doing a huge thing on Creation this summer and are requesting parents to buy some special books for their families.  As well, some of the teachers will be purchasing books. The two books we will be ordering from you are: God's Amazing Creatures and CREATION  both of which you are the author.  Our Pastor would like each family in the congregation to use these books in their homes as part of our Creation study this summer. We'll be using the Big Book and the powerpoint of CREATION on our "blast-off" Sunday coming up. We love your materials.  S. Tuttle, Bellefontaine, OH

When I began my class and opened up the CREATION Big Book, one four-year-old boy spontaneously burst out, "WOW!" That's exactly my reaction, too. Thanks for all the images to make Genesis 1 come alive.  Sunday School teacher - Beaverton, OR

GOD MADE ME POCKETBOOK
I enjoy giving the pocketbook God Made Me to our children on their birthdays. They are delighted to receive them and I know it's something they won't throw away when they go home from Sunday School.  S.F., Moasic Church, Chino, CA

COOKIES & MILK DEVOTIONS

As a gramma of eleven grandchildren, I reeally appreciate all the "Cookies and Milk" I can get. What a blessing you are!  -  Ku T. (Washington)

I am not a "Grandma," but I am a "Grand-Aunt" whom my grand-nieces and nephews call "Nana," so I am sure we will all enjoy the "Cookies and Milk" devotions book. - Gloria (Washington)

GOD'S AMAZING CREATURES:

Hello Mr and Mrs. Haidle, I just wanted to say hello and let you know how much we are enjoying your book, God's Amazing Creatures. We read it during our lunch break. The boys love the graphics. In fact, we had to skip the cockroach page because it was a bit too real for my youngest son.  I homeschool the boys here in Guam.  We are in the military and will be transferring to Boulder, Colorado in November as my husband attends Graduate School.  Please keep us in your prayers as we transition off the island. We will need a home to live in and desire a quick delivery of our household goods and car. Keeping you in our thoughts and prayers as well. With love, Jane  S. (Guam)

More than a devotional - this is awesome!, By luveducationalstuff
I just bought this to use with my 5 yr. old. She LOVES animals & nature. This devotional is perfect for her. There are 45 creatures discussed in this book. Each devotion starts off talking about a creature and it's habits. Then, that info is used to correlate it to what the Bible says about that particular behavior. The next section asks about that aspect in the child's life. Lastly, a memory verse accompanies each devotion.
Not only are you learning a memory verse, having self reflection, doing character building, and learning what the Bible has to say about various traits and behaviors, you are also getting a lesson in nature and science. Even I am learning things about God's creatures that I didn't know.
This book wins hands down over any other devotional I've looked at. The reading is easily understood by children; it's not too deep for them. I think it's awesome having a book like this that discusses things readily available in our world/environment, and it seems that children can easily relate to the creatures behaviors/traits being discussed. It uses simple, curious traits of God's creatures to grab everyone's attention.
I'm using this along with several readers I have to accent our science lessons, character building, and Bible study in our homeschool curriculum. I can't rave enough!

CHAPTER BOOKS: WHAT WOULD JESUS DO?, and

FIELD GUIDE TO BIBLE PROMISES

Dear David & Helen, My 4 y/o son, Conner, is GLUED to "What Would Jesus Do?"  Each and every day we read chapters, and he walks around saying, "What would God do?" when faced with situations troubling to a 4 y/o!  He positively LOVES your story, and we can't wait to start on the other two we purchased at the homeschool convention.  Conner said once we're through reading all three of them, he wants to start over and read them cover to cover . . . again!
Coming from a 4 y/o boy who usually prefers picture books exclusively, that's magical! Your creative work has opened his mind up to imaginary pleasures beyond the four corners of a page. Thank you for adding virtuous stories to our reading time.
Most appreciatively, Gina (Mom to Conner and "one on the way")

Our homeschooling family has gone through FIELD GUIDE TO BIBLE PROMISES 10 times! It still ministers to our teenagers. My kids still get tears in their eyes when they hear the story of the Chinese children. This book never gets old, because we talk about how these promises can be applied to our lives today.  I can't tell you what an amazing gift this book has been to our family. -Marion, Modesto, CA

FIELD GUIDE TO BIBLE PROMISES has been a blessing to our whole family. We've really enjoyed it and it's been a great faith-builder for ALL of us. Thank you for writing it! The Anderson Family, Sacramento, CA

JOURNEY TO THE CROSS

I can never give enough compliments on Journey to the Cross. We are down to only a few chapters left. I was amazed many times through Journey to the Cross. Probably 20-30 times throughout the book I would stop to explain something to the children. Then sure enough in the next paragraph you covered every bit of clarification... and it did better than I. I just loved the History, Science, Memory Verses, Questions, Layout, Artwork. It's marvelous. To add a comment with reference to the artwork. Thank you 100x for the art that does not make the "story" seem a fairytale. I do not like my true Bible characters to look like a Jolly Animated Character! Thank you for your truth to the Bible!  - from Alison

I first bought this book 7 years ago for my first child as an Easter gift. After she read it, her life was changed forever because the writer led her into a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. My daughter is now 15 years old and unlike the typical dreaded teen years, we are enjoying her immensely during this season of her life. She is not into herself or material things. She is on fire for the Lord and will be involved with a mission trip to Peru this year. This book describes the 3 years of Jesus' ministry leading up to His crucifixion and resurrection. The author gives historical information to help children understand the parables, the customs and the cultures during Biblical times. So, I decided to purchase copies of this book for my two other children and that's how I came to finding it on Ebay. The added blessing is that the seller is the author so she wrote a personal autograph in each book to my children. I highly recommend this book to anyone who would love to bless their child and train them up in the ways of our Savior, Jesus Christ. - Mindy M.

Candy Cane Christmas (Pocketbook)
By Syneva (Dassel, MN)
This Christian Christmas book is wonderful! To read the meaning of how the Candy Cane came to be is an awesome find. The pictures are colorful. My daughter and I love the rhyming words, easy to catch on to. I would love to share this book with my Sunday school class and make them candy cane book markers for Christmas. I will keep this book in our family library to share with small children in the future.

CHRISTMAS LEGENDS TO REMEMBER:

REVIEW:  Book: Christmas Legends To Remember
An award-winning author presents three classic short story "legends" about the origins of the candy cane, the Christmas tree, and St. Nicholas. In addition, a special section is included that reveals the true history of these Christmas traditions. Illustrations by David Haidle.

Three tales of true Christmas spirit come alive in the hands of award-winning children's author Helen Haidle. Legend of the Candy Cane opens with the lonely candymaker seeking the truth in the Christmas season. As he finds the warmth of the season in the laughter and bustle of the village children, a thought occurs: What can he give to show love for those in need? Unexpected inspiration leads to a sweet and meaningful answer.
The Legend of the First Christmas Tree recounts the tale of a small, scruffy fir tree with a big heart for helping others. A Special Baby is coming to the nearby village, and the forest is abuzz, but what gift could a small tree give? If the other trees have their way, he won't even get to see the baby -- unless, of course, he's had a gift all along ............................................................................ Catch a glimpse of a real saint in The Legend of Saint Nicholas. Wealthy but alone at the age of 12, Nicholas lives with his extended family. As his heart turns to giving and charity, his family just doesn't understand. But God calls him to a higher mission, even beyond giving at Christmas time. How long can he keep his giving a secret, and will his family ever understand?

Each tale brings forth the values Christmas holds, and an added bonus section gives actual facts upon which each legend is based. Find the true meaning of Christmas for your whole family in this instant classic
